In olden times glass was supplied to the noble houses of Europe - and production continues today.
“Fine glass and wood are Zwiesel’s pride”. These words represent the thoughts of Zwiesel’s people since the 15th century: the forest and the glass production which depended on it. Even if it has been joined by many other branches of industry in the meantime, wood and glass remain closely bound up with Zwiesel and the region. And that will not change in the future.
